Hi all, I've seen on the photo gallery pictures that red rhino (Gene) posted of the Castle Marmaris restaurant. We would like to visit there but are not sure where exactly it is. I assume its in the Marmaris castle area, and from the photos you can see the marina and its in an elevated position. Can you reach it from the waterfront around the marina and is it sign posted. Any one know please?

Morning Cheriton
If it is the one that we are thinking of, walk along the marina, past the Nil bar until you come the statue of the 2 fisherman pulling the net out of the water. There is a carpet place on a corner, go down the side of that, get to the bottom, turn left and then an immediate right, follow the path round where it says to castle, and you will find the steps leading up to it along there on your right hand side. Hope this helps :)

Haha I left this one because I thought Gene would kno but here we go.

Walk alonth the Marina from the Ataturk statue for about200 yards until you come to a big cafe ahead of you where the road ends called Anatolia.
Looking at it walk to the left of that and then on your right you will see the castle sign posted follow that.

You know when you are on the right track because you need a sherpa to help you walk.

The restaurant is up there.

Great views and last time I went in this year I think a large Efes was 8 lira

The one I gave directions for could be it

I have never looked at the name of the place as I have been too knackered after the walk up and my head has either been looking at the floor or at the bottom of an empty Efes glass
