At long last...the big day has arrived!

Well today's the day. We fly from Manchester this afternoon to Istanbul and then onto Dalaman. Waited so long for this day because we did not have a holiday last year! Girls are sooo excited.

One concern though and any help would be appreciated - we only have 1 hour from landing at Istanbul to boarding connecting flight. Will we have enough time to get visas and find boarding gate? Is it far? Do we have to travel to another building within airport complex? Any advice appreciated.

I've stopped off Istanbul many times and I would say and hour is fine to transfer. It is a very large airport and I obviously don't know what gate you'll be boarding at for Dalaman but you will find everything clearly signed and there are plenty of airport staff around to direct you.

You're actually quite lucky that you have only got an hour as the shops are wonderful there but VERY pricey, even Burger King costs an arm and a leg
