Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

Hi all ,as my parents will be making thier first to Icmeler with us in sept and i would like to treat them to a little day trip for thier anniversary they are both early 60;s and young at heart but i think an all day boat trip might not be thier thing so i am thinking of booking the Ephusus day trip for them ,i have never been on this trip and im kind of hopeing that a few members have and could give me some info on this i have looked at ICR excursion page and it gives a very brief discription just really want to know how long is the boat trip and how many stops it makes ect ,we would like to suprise them with a trip and then in the evening take them both out for a celebration meal,so any info on when the boat will return them to Icmeler will be really helpfull .

we went the first week of july very hot and a long day.got picked up at 06.15 and got back at 19.30 we had a stop for breakfast and lunch.the guide was a teacher who gave us the history of turkey on the way there and took us round ephesus we then had about hour too ourselves to wander round.we did enjoy it

Thank you Iain thats exactly the info i was looking for sounds like a good day out ,but if im honest the 6.15am pick up has really put me off

we went last september whilst staying in Bodrum, its along walk round the site and still very hot in september, so good shoes plenty of water, and a good camera, its worth the trip. Rog.

You don't go to Ephesus by boat.

I would suggest that if you do want to send them there, then you book the two day trip as it is a very long journet for just the day

Thanks John ,im now thinking of Gypsy beach again as we booked that trip with you last sept and had a great day more a chilled day out for them i think they will both enjoy that more will pop into the office when im in the resort here's hopeing there will be enough bookings that week for the trip to go ahead..

Few yrs ago we did the 2 day Ephesus and Pammakele trip, Was fantastic, was well worth it.

i was in izmir in june and me and some friends went to ephesus for the day
didnt do the trip from icmeler but would recommend going to see ephesus
its a nice place inside but was busy at the end of june
its beautiful inside and its huge

Thanks for all the replies ,but i think this day out might be a bit too long for them esp when the pick up is 6.15 am ,meaning the would have to get up 5am in order to get ready ,maybe look for a shorter trip with better times ideally something with a pick up around 9 returning at 4-5 would be perfect for them Ahh well back to the drawing board to re think ,thank you all anyway
