This time tomorrow!!

We should be exiting the airport in Rhodes looking for a taxi to take us to Rhodes commercial port to catch a ferry the Marmaris.

Like a lot of you we lost our flights and until late Wednesday night wasn't sure if we would get a holiday but we are going.

Yesterday the dogs went to the Kennels as planned for their deserved annual break.

This morning we should have been flying and I hated seeing the flight still going on the Manchester departure board (via the web), but I believe it was empty, it had brought back passengers who were due to return, it's a shame TC hadn't taken over that flight and made them available for sale on Wednesday night. oh well.

We have just finished packing, 55KG out of an allowance of 60KG so not bad.

Later we are popping to the post-office to send off our claim registered post to the CC company and then Tescos to get some Euro's for our brief stay in Rhodes, once thats all done it's time to relax so we're off too a pub for a few drinks, take away chinese on the way home and bed by 10pm as our taxi arrives at 3.45am for a 45 minute transfer to Liverpool.

Once checked-in at the airport I know we will be going, at that point my holiday would have started. Just hope there is no delay, we only have about a two hour window for the last ferry of the day out of Rhodes.

For all the others due to go today and over the next couple of weeks, I hope you get sorted and have a great time, might see a few of you at the Tandori Sizzler.

See you out there a week on Saturday Dave,we also should have been going tomorrow but had to rebook loosing a week in Icmeler,we are not happy with the way it has turned out but we class ourselves lucky we got a flight at all,2 weeks is better than nothing.I am so mad at the tour operators the way they cash in when things like this happen. The ones who take money still right to the last second of it comming out they have gone bust i hope are sat in front of the tv when it shows young children in tears because their holidays have been cancelled and i hope it stays with them forever

We were supposed to fly out on the 12th from Manchester...

Now we go Manchester to Istanbul and then Istanbul to Dalaman... same on the way home

BUT ICMELER IS SOOOO WORTH THE EFFORT!!!

I managed to get rebooked with TC, now going for 19 days instead of 14 and flights only cost £56 more but got seats booked in-flight meals and 20 kgs luggage. have to pay more for hotel but happy we are going now
