Hi sped,
Take a look at http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8& ... 8e86a260a2 you will find the location of the Babadan aparts on there, approx 5 mins to square 10mins to beach. Try Trip advisor / Holiday truths for reviews.

Hi sped, firstly the good points! It's about a 5 to 10mins walk to beach front you literally come out of apartments turn left and keep walking straight to the beach as with the square it's about 3mins in same direction as beach.

Not so good points bearing in mind we have been to icmeler about 17 times so have a good knowledge of accommodation. We found the apartment quite small and dark, facilities were old and in need of updating staff were only interested in you if you were staying by the pool all day and eating in there restuarant unfortunately we have too many friends all over icmeler we know and time is to precious to stay in one place for 2 weeks on that note I found staff pretty rude and unhelpful. This is what my experience was in 2009 and is my personal point of view and many others love it but I don't think they have really had chance to compare but it's each to there own. I am pretty sure you will have a great time but if you like icmeler and plan to return I would check out other apartments whilst your there so you can book for the future direct or through icr if they have that apartment on offer.

We stayed at the Babadan apartments in 2009 and loved it there, although we are beach people and spent most days at the beach. We found the apartments just right for a couple and I think a family of four would be ok too. The staff were very friendly and helpful towards us, even though as I have said we were hardly there in the day time, we always finished our evening with a drink in the front bar/restaurant and were well looked after. The short walk to town or the beach is pleasant and not too far, also if you turn left out of the Babadan you can have a short walk up to the old village. I would not hesitate to recomend these apartments. Hope you have a great time

For our first ever trip to Tukey last year we stopped at the Babadan and my wife and kids (aged 6 & 9) loved it so much the wife booked for this year the day after we got back.

We went on 30th June 2011 and it was just as good and yep the wife has already booked for next year.

Turns out were not the only ones the kids were well chuffed that friends they made last year turned up this year 2 days after we got there!!!

hi sped,

never stayed here, but have used their pool(s) and had a couple of drinks. any people we spoke to who were staying there had no complaints. great location, 2 mins to square and 5-10 mins to beach.also, as Yidley says they are handy for wandering up to the old village, but you would turn right to do this, not left :)

just back from 2 weeks at the Babadan and found them to be very good. 2 pools bar retaurant shop etc. the staff were very friendly but not intrusive, as someone has already said the girl at reception is very helpful. We had lunch in the bar most days but did not not eat in the restaurant at night as we like to try as many places as possible and they accepted this and did not give us any hassle. Location is good short distance to shops, bars, restaurants, beach etc.
