Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

Hi all me and the wife are visiting Turkey & Icemler for the first time flying from Exter on 14th Sep for 2 weeks.
Really looking forward to the hols and have been reading all the reviews and planning ahead.
Has any one stayed at the Grand Aquarium that can give us any tips any other little tips or ideas for newbies to Icemeler would be greatly recieved.

Stayed just behind the Grand 2 years ago and passed them every day. They are up in the old village and looked really nice. There is a little supermarket less than 2 mins walk away (cross the dry canal on the woodwn bridge). 2 mins walk in the other direction brings you to Tommys restaurant and more supermarkets. You can get the dolmus from any one of these supermarkets down in to the main town or you can follow the canal if you are up for the walk lol. It can be quiet in the old village at night but its easy enough to get to town if you fancy a night out though i know the grand has fun nights and stuff going on as well if you want to participate. They are set in a lovely location and you will enjoy your first visit to Icmeler.

Hi, we are at the GA this Sunday for just over 2weeks and this is our 5th time on the trot and also have flights for next year and will stay there again. I agree with everything the previous poster said, we love it there, the rooms are a little tired but the maids keep everything clean etc, a nice stroll into town or get the dolmus.Never ate there in the evening only because there are too many restaurants to enjoy and so little time .
If you go to Marmaris for the night you can get a dolmus back for 2 lira ,tell the driver you want to go to the GA and he will drop you at Tommy's which is across the road from the GA ,great value.The cave where the restaurant and bar is looks great and so is the pool check out photo's and reviews on Trip Advisor for this year. Like I said this is our 5th time we love it ,good luck.

Hi, stayed here once, usually stay at smaller sister apartment the Club. Food at Tommys is really good and the wee supermarket next door is open 24hrs and very helpful. Getting in/out of town is simple - follow the dry canal it's a pleasant walk both up and down. Enjoy your holiday.

Hi Devon welcome to the forum we stayed at the grand on our very first visit to icmeler 13 years ago sadly havent stayed there since but we had a great time.We still stay in the old village we visit tommys quite alot and speak to families who stay there and have never heard a bad word about the grand .We are out in september so if your in tommys say hello. kenny.
