Hi All

Having booked for next year (sadly missed this year and last) can anyone advise good travel insurance. T C**K seems a bit expensive for travel insurance so would be interested in any insurance any one on the forum had used.

i always have the post office for my hubby son and myself £54.50 this year covers every thing u need and really good at paying out , 3 years ago my huby broke his foot first day of holiday was well covered ..

Thanks will check post office. Had seen some online for as little as £12.50 for myself ,wife and son but seemed a little too cheap to be true

T..... C.... insurance £53.10 for two weeks, dont think thats too dear took it this year, will take it again next time too. It will depend on your age and wether you have medical conditions though

£53 .10 is expensive for 2 weeks.
My husbands is only that for an annual policy and it includes pre existing conditions.The insurance was recommended by Martin Lewis money saver website and is underwritten by AXA.
My annual insurance was only £75 which also includes pre existing conditions.
We get our moneys worth as we try to go away 4 times a year.
I was given the phone number of TCs insurance a few years ago and I got my insurance for £13 instead of the £39 they were going to charge for 1 week.

annual insurance is good if you go on a few trips, single a lot cheaper for one holiday

I just paid for my wife and 2 kids £11 for two weeks insurance

If we do go away again, another £11 is still cheaper than an annual insurance

I get mine free with my bank which also helps

Cheapest I can get a quote from the big boys £33.00 though i may check into the £12.50 one from Ins*** and G*

family of 3 with debenhams £13/14 for a single trip

As stated before lots of current accounts offer free travel insurance. However if you want a stand alone policy have a look at www.moneysavingexpert.com this will give you the best deals around, whether it be for the year or a one off holiday.

try tesco online. seems like good cover and cheaper than post office. they also seem to do a better exchange rate than others

We use Atlas Direct only £28 for hubby and myself 2 weeks and we pay extra to have no excess even our agent at TC asked for the name of who we went with

just checked my Bank details and guess what Its FREEEEE. Can not get cheaper that now lol

I would recommend an annual travel insurance policy rather than a single trip policy just so your covered if you needed to cancel the holiday for any reason.

same here. not actually free for me but for £15 a month i get free travel insurance, phone insurance (x4 phones) AA cover, card insurence and a few other perks. i think its worth checking with your bank.

that will only be for you, family cost extra and quite a bit i noticed when i tried Nationwide - £35 to add the kids on.

No mate its for 3 of us , myself , wife and son (daughter is 19 so she has to get her own). Policy states cover for Myself , Partner and up to 7 children. I am with Ulster Bank

yes my bank account covers me for insurance two adults and up to four children! x

A little word of warning, most insurance policies that come with bank accounts as free only give European cover and this excludes Turkey in a lot of cases. You need to check with your bank that it covers Turkey and if it doesn't, they'll normally extend for a year for about a Tenner per person. Stil cheaper than geting worldwide cover which can be expensive, probably why T* C* charge £50 odd.
