Ekinci Palace

Postby WELSHPAT » 08 Jul 2011 15:53

Have just read two reviews/ reports on the Ekinci Palace. For this year.
One report was quite complementary while the other is just the opposite.
Has anybody on the Forum stayed there this year and can give an honest/ true report.
Have booked to say in the Ekinci this Sept/ Oct.

Many Thanks.
Pat.

I got talking to a couple who were staying there last year and they loved it. Sometimes I have booked somewhere and then read reviews and some are not very favourable at all and of course puts me off a bit and worries me and when I go all is fine. I am beginning to think that some people expect the Ritz hotel when they have paid less than one nights tarif at the Ritz for a whole two weeks lol!
Don't worry, am sure you will have a great time.

Then again Chocoholic, they might have had a really bad experience there!

You have to read all reviews and then make your own mind up.

Hi, we are going to Ekinci Palace 20th Aug for the 3rd time !!
We have stayed in a studio and an apartment, and the only problem we found was that , if you get a Attic studio then the celing slopes, that is NOT tooo much of a problem unless you are very tall (ie:- over 6ft) BUT we didnt like the stairs up to the top as there was NO handrail , didnt feel safe at all.!!
That said we asked to move and we were offered a bottom floor studio the next day, this was plenty of room for a couple !!
Hope you have a great holiday, may see you there , Joan

We paid our second visit to the Ekinci two years ago and were allocated an attic apartment in the block furthest from reception. Although I am over 6' tall it was OK and gave me enough space. The one BIG problem was that the water tanks must have been in a roof space beside us and every time a tap opened or a loo flushed, there was a noise like a compressor. We could sleep through the sounds from the mosque but not through this. A request for a change saw us moved 3 days later to a ground floor apartment slap bang beside the kitchen!
First year great, second year poor and the sun bed bagging (and not a German in sight) certainly did not help.

Hi all,
Thankyou for your replies.
As mickyq, pastie63 & Gibson 134 will be going to the Ekinci before we
go in Sept/ Oct it would be very useful/interesting to have your reviews on
your return.

Many thanks again.

Pat.

Hi,

This will be our 4th time at the Ekinci Palace and we have always had a good time there. Staff very helpful and friendly, pool is bigger than the average pools in Icmeler Hotels, food is great if eating in the Bahama Restaurant. Nothing too much trouble. We are there from the 12th/13th August for 16 nights so maybe bump into you.
