Travellers Cheque Exchange Rate

Postby gh1878 » 07 Jul 2011 13:57

Does anyone know what the current exchange rate is for Sterling travellers Cheques over in Icmeler ? I am guessing it is way below the 2.55 YTL/GBP for cash right now. Also, is there an additional charge associated with the exchange ? Thanks.

Same as it is for cash, always has been when I've been. No commision in the little supermarkets, just take your passport when you exchange.

Make sure you use the Supermarkets and not the Exchange Offices as these charge commission.

Reesy,

Didn't realise that supermarkets took travellers cheques as well as cash. That's good news then.

If you go back to the same place, you will only need to take your passport the first time you change your cheques.
