Do you take a jumper?!?

Postby Chris221273 » 07 Jul 2011 10:05

Hey all,
We arrive in icmeler on August 6th and am about to start packing.
I just wondered if a jumper is required for the evenings or not.
I don't want to add any extra weight to my luggage if it's not going to be used!
Thanks
Chris

We go in August and I only ever wear a vest, it's to hot to even wear a tee shirt at night for me.

I took a cardi in May and never needed it then. Don't plan on taking anything warm tomorrow, and have bought some lighter cotton clothes cause it looks so warm! Sure you'll be fine to leave that jumper at home - unless you've got room cause you'll probably need it when you land back in the UK! :D

Sometimes you need a big coat and a huge warm fire but in August its T shirts for men and sleavless frocks for the ladies.

ah Chris, your post reminds me of the first time we went and it was August, I couldn't imagine not needing a brolly for a whole fortnight - my friend called round and was in fits of laughter seeing it sat there on the top of my suitcase! Needless to say she persuaded me I WOULDN'T need it
The only thing you may find your jumper useful for is as a pillow on the plane and for putting on when you land back in Blighty

This made me smile, we have been going in august for the last 5 years, the first year I packed some trousers and longer sleeved tops , they never got touched, I now only pack shorts, vest tshirts and a couple of summer dresses and even then you are to hot at midnight. Night temps are generally 30+ hotter than the hottest day temps we get here. Have a great time, i'm counting down this time in 4 weeks should be sat on the plane getting ready to take off. Lorraine

i don't take a jumper and we go at beginning of Sept.
i take a denim jacket to wear on the way to the airport as we go early in the morning. i never use it in icmeler apart from putting it on as we arrive back in Manchester!
