Now with all of this 'bad vodka' scare going on i am wondering what to drink. I like Efes but it gets abit bloaty after afew, and i like malibu but not all night. Dont like gin or whisky. So is there a turkish local bicardi and if so what is it called or what would i ask for?

Any other ideas on alternative drinks to my beloved vodka :(

No local version i'm afraid, try local brandy and coke.

"enough to kill me if it was bad"

Im thinking of just asking to smell the vodka first, i know what the turkish vodka normally smells like i drink it so much when i'm there.. and the fake vodka will have a strong nail varnishy smell.
Also if you goto a bar where the people are locals and go there alot and see they are drinking the vodka one or 2 nights on the run you will know that its ok.

Think i may still drink it but only in certain places when iv checked it out.

Also, Raki cherry sounds fab, i'm addicted to cherry juice so that with anything sounds fab for me i will be trying that :D

6 days to goooo
