champagne

Postby mauler45red » 02 Jul 2011 06:25

Hi all,

We fly to icmeler this coming friday. :D :D

Whilst we are there my daughter celebrates her 18th birthday and my wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary on the same day.

I want to get a few bottles of bubbly for the occasion but don't want to risk putting them in the case before we go.

So, does anybody know the best place to buy decent champagne in Icmeler and the average price for a bottle?

Cheers

You are best buying it at airport as will be very expensive if you can get it at all in Icmeler.

Best place to get it is in duty free and take it. I bought some lovely Tattinger for my 30th a couple of years ago and took it. Buying alcohol in Turkey is waaaay too expensive, especially for the big imports! Enjoy the party :)

hi, thanks for the reply.

I dont suppose you remember how much you paid for it.

I can get a decent deal locally but need to decide if its worth risking it in the case.

If you just want bubbly ie sparkling stuff then its not too bad a price. Probably what you would pay in a restaurant here for the proper stuff, and you will get all the fun that goes with it....maybe speak to the guys at Tandoori Sizzler? Not the same drinking it on your balcony. :)
