Terrorism Threat

I do understand that these recent threats are very serious but one thing has been making me smile. The following restriction:
Baby items:
For those traveling with an infant: baby food, milk (the contents of each bottle must be tasted by the accompanying passenger) and sanitary items sufficient and essential for the flight (nappies, wipes, creams and nappy disposal bags).
Many women express their own milk into their baby's bottles...therefore I shall be watching with some amusement as to who actually does the "tasting". Will the officials take the baby's gurgle as gospel? Or are we going to see a hidden side to the personality of the menfolk?

Seriously though, terrorism in the name of any cause is totally abhorrent.
We all need to send out the message loud and clear:
We will NOT live in fear........we shall be vigilant.
We will NOT bow to their demands, but we can listen.
Mankind has the unique trait of speech, unfortunately it usually falls on deaf ears!
A very dear Muslim friend of mine said to me after the atrocities of 9/11...
" I was a proud Muslim, but this was NOT done in the name of my religion. I am still a Muslim but a heartbroken one". This sentiment was shared by every single one of his Muslim friends.
May we all find the elusive peace we seek.
God bless, whichever one you may worship.
Regards,
Lisa.

Flying back to England there are no restrictions on hand luggage etc. (except from USA)
So, hopefully, there will be few delays.
I flew to Ibiza 2 days after 9/11 when very similar restrictions were in place and there were few problems.
Flying tomorrow night so have got fingers crossed!!

Terrorism can and does happen all over the world as the news coming out from Turkey this morning shows. We are due to go to Icmeler on Thursday this week and I still stand by my previous post. We will NOT be deterred. This sort of thing can and has happened on our soil. I steadfastly refuse to live my life in fear of " what if's " and let a minority of radical extremists ruin the reputations of the vast majority of decent, hardworking people of any race, colour or creed.

I hope all those injured and affected make a full and speedy recovery.

Regards,
Lisa.
