Icmeler buzz

Postby gem7 » 27 Jun 2011 22:44

Hello, been hearing that a lot of people have chosen not to go to Icmeler this year and it will not be as busy as usual, so was just wondering if anyone knows if it is quieter just now than in previous years? Hope it will be just as busy as i love the Icmeler buzz. There is nowhere like it :)

World economy dictates whether people have money to spare for holidays and this year the UK market is down thanks to taxes and governments giving money away to prop up other countries

The whole holiday market is down and I hear there are lots of places empty in Spain and Greece also

Hopefully it will pick up but then maybe if restaurants do go under and they do not come back it will be a good thing for business as there are far too many bars and restaurants in a small area, look at Benidorm for instance

while i agree with you that less bars = better business, you must admit there cant be a worse site than a closed up
bar/restaurant strewn with litter and looking run down, does not take long to look like this . I have seen this in many resorts in spain as well as in Turkey and its just not good P.R. for tourism.

Like JT says world economy. Lets face it Britian is bust or just about bust. Folk are pulling in the purse strings at the minute and holidays whilst nice are still quite expensive and a bit of a luxury item that you can do without. We are coming over in August but friends of ours who usually come are giving it a miss this year.
Lets hope things improve soon and we can all enjoy the wonderful icmeler together again.

Close the bar and turn it into an apartment
