I use Avon skin so soft dry oil spray and this year I'm trying tescos own lemon and tea tree shower gel as well. Don't usually get bitten with the Avon spray but everyone has their own ways of avoiding being bitten you just need to find what works for you :)

I posted on the other thread too, but I also used the lemon and tea tree shower gel as well, so don't know if that helped.

I have said on the forum before what works for me is take garlic capsules 2 weeks before you go, i have just come back and was,nt bitten once. One of our friends was badly bitten and the pharmacy in the square had to lance them as they were infected.Next year he says he,ll take a bottle of garlic capsules, as they are not spraying the roads now to get rid of them. :D :)

I have been going to Icmeler for 18 years and for 15 of them was always badly bitten by mosquitos. My bites were always infected and needed lancing. For the last 3 years I have used tea tree shower, shampoo, conditioner, wipes etc and even dabbed pure teatree oil on as perfume and have not been bitten once. Admittedly I don't smell too good but what the heck as long as it keeps the mossies off, I can bear it for a couple of weeks. Can't say my OH feels the same though!!

Thanks for all the tips & advice, the thread on page 2 made interesting reading especially as the better half is prone to being bitten.

Off to Asda tonight to purchase odorless Garlic tablets & Vitamin B tablets will also through in the basket some Tea Tree shower gel and as it turns out my ever resourceful mother who does the Avon just happens to have some Soft Skin lotion stuff put away for emergencies (knew i got my hording gene from somewhere !).

T-minus 14 days and counting. 8)
