Arrived back 5 August from 2 wonderful weeks in Icmeler me, hubby and 2 boys (14 & 16). This was our second time and we enjoyed it as much as the first. Monarch flight from Manchester was off on time, nice meal on board. Visa, baggage and passport were a breeze at Dalaman. Taxi was waiting for us and off we went. Arrived after 1.20 minutes. We stayed at the Angel Inn in the old village. Very nice apartments spotlessly clean and we had a shower screen. Favourite places to eat were: The Lemon Tree, 3(4) Bells, Mandolin and Yakamoz. Also ate at the Angel Inn, Erdem Café, The Old Famous, De Je Vue, The Garden and Sylvia’s. For anyone staying in the old village who doesn’t face the walk down to town I can recommend the Sempati Restaurant. This is attached to the Sevgi Apartments and the cook is very good, ate there several times as this was next door to the Angel Inn Aparts. Only did 1 trip this time, lazy boat A/I. Booked through ICR cost £10. Well worth it as the drinks can soon mount up when you have children with you. This year we decided, after reading many comments on this forum, that we would take £200 in Stirling and then withdraw the rest of our holiday money from the ATM. We have a Nationwide card so do not get charged any fee. This worked very well and will do this again next year. We had a much better exchange rate at the ATM (2.80-2.85) than we would have had in resort (2.65- 275). As the Sevgi and Angel Inn are small aparts there were several families staying there who were there last time we went and this makes your holiday when you can meet up with old friends. Turkey is the only place I have ever found this. We had our room until we had to leave at 2.00 am on the Saturday morning and the return to the UK was as uneventful as when we arrived. My only gripe is – why is the Duty Free shop priced up in Euros when the local currency is Lira. We only had lira left so didn’t buy anything. Well enough of my rambling. Before we left we booked again to return to the Sevgi for the same time next year. Any questions just ask. Di :)

Well written informative report Diane.
Think we will have to try the Lemon Tree it seems to get some good reports.
Also we will try the De Je Vue one of our friends went here from the Lion Bar, we knew him as Shaggy, dont know why he had that name because his hair was short and curly.

I think it had something to do with his ability to say 'It wasn't me!'.....
