We were once waiting for our "tea party", you know the sort when you try a few flavored teas in the Turkish delight shop but we had to wait for this bloke to agree his price for his goods.After a while the shopkeeper says that he wants to try matey`s trainers on and they struck a deal. The tourist walked off down the road barefoot and we were served by a shopkeeper who was bouncing up and down with his new Nike Airs on.Hilarious. - Any one else witnessed this type of thing ?

Yes we have.... luckily my hubby had his YOU ARE NOT RIPPING ME OFF HAT ON and we quickly walked away from the rip off.

Not haggling as such but, as I'm sure you can guess by my name I'm a Wolves fan and I wear my Wolves sweat bands whenever I'm on holiday and on 2 occasions I was offered 50 lira for just one of them, they seem to love the Wolfs head design. I didn't sell them as I'd promised them to 2 other people at the place we were staying.

Talking about the tea party me and my daughter were collared by him last year, it was great we were in there for god knows how long drinking an enormous array of teas of all sorts of colours. I was piddling all the colours of the rainbow for the next couple of days.

Isnt it also funny that every tea has a funtion - lemon good for colds - cinnamon stops you snoring- orange good for skin ect.

rakigirl how can you be ripped off ? you ask how much and if you dont like the price you just say no thank you.The tea partys are a bit of fun not a hard sell.

Fair point.... I shall reword it to being told it was hassle free and no hard sell but as soon as we sat down the hard sell started so we got up and left

Ok raki - i suppose ours was a soft sale- we liked him and the tea party so much we bought some lol.
