Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

I recall seeing a photo on the forum a while back. it showed around a dozen or so local (icmeler) men on the beach gathered round a telly watching a football match, I think. It was a picture taken a good few years ago and I'm sure the guy who owns Miami bar was in the photo (think his name is Onbassi?). I've looked but had no luck finding it. reason I'm asking is one of the guys in our local kebab shop is from Icmeler but left around 15 years ago. I'd like to show him the picture if I can find it, and see if he recognises anyone, or he might even be in it. thanks.

Hi Magoo,

I know exactly which photo you mean. It also had Duran Celik riding on a camel in Icmeler. I cannot for the life of me think where it would be, but I seem to recall that they were old photos of the old Icmeler, showing views of the old village before buildings went up. I shall keep on trying to look for you.

Hello Mr.Magoo,what his the blokes name in the kebab shop we might know him before he left Icmeler,Onbasis name his Mucallah Gunay,or Manuel,or Onbasi,we have known him for about twenty years,he his one of my friends on facebook and we always spend plenty of time in his bar,he says he his the Turkish pool champion till he met me the English and now Turkish pool champion also.

afraid I don't know the guy in the kebab shop's name....yet. only got talking to him at the weekend when I was being a smart alex and thanked him for my kebab in turkish. he looks about mid 30's so would've been fairly young when he left icmeler. he says there wasn't much to the place in those days.
