Just got back

Just returned from 2 weeks in Icmeler, 1st week ruined by rain(i know couldn,t believe it), missed out on some trips,but got to 1st of june and weather changeed to usual mid 30s almost cloudless sky but breezy at night, noticed a few empty shops, and stalls missing in market, and canal area looks miserable without the stalls nothing done to make it look better, but when you go in to Marmaris the marina area looks superb with new statues and seating area, Still love Icmeler ,have booked for 2012, but apart from the promenade no improvements made, if it wasn,t for the people not sure if i,d still be going back, Saying that i,m still recovering from a long night flight home , so might see things differently tomorrow. hiya rog,
we love the place as much, but what you say worries me alittle because no matter how much traveling you have done its still ' affordable paradise' but reading between the lines it sounds like your having doubts!!!
i cant see them doing much during the season, but lets just hope they do at the end of this season, that will bring icmeler up to the standard we all love, one thing im sure we will all be back next year to see what they have done.

Hi Wayne, just a tired reaction, Icmeler was not at its best as i said shops closed(It was still early in season) gaps in Wednesday market not seen before, canal looks grubby,thought the council might have at least tidied up and put a few new seats and plants there, but saying that i love the place so much i,ve already booked up for May 2012.Rog

phew.....thats a relief i cant think of going anywhere else ( as sad as it sounds). i love the place and the people in it.......roll on two weeks on monday. then again in 2. 5 months...thanks for that rog

That does not sound good, i go saturday and im really worried about the weather there at the moment seems to be no consistancy
