Just curious as I read somewhere that it was in excess of 400!!!

Couldn't put a number too it but there are a fair few I can tell you

I would have thought it would be closer to 150-200 but I could be complely wrong, even so there is plenty of choice.

I agreed with dksbbs. Approx 200. That's why you have to be prepared to patiently walk past when they are trying you to get you in. You could easily lose ii like my OH who definitely is not a patient one. I handle it now and politely tell them we have eaten or 'no thanks'. Be sure never to promise anyone you will call in another time -because they always remember!

Yes, We've just eaten(rubbing your tummy at the same time) maybe some other time.

They do remember. My advice is take another route or cross the road or even better take bets if your gonna be asked as you walk past. After a few efes it can be very funny. Or just pretend your from another country

Either way, you will enjoy your stay.

To avoid the hassling I used to answer in welsh and pretend that I didn't understand what they were saying but only did this when the hassling was pretty bad. Haven't needed to do this for a few years as there is so little hassling now. Most didn't recognise the language and so it worked every time.

A few years ago I was surprised though to be spoken to in welsh by a waiter in the Welcome restaurant as it was then called, as he had heard us talking to each other as we went past, so of course we stopped and went in for a meal. So my tactics had been reversed, instead of my speaking welsh not to go into a restaurant, a waiter had spoken to us in welsh and drew us in

About ten bars and ten resturants. We were told to go full board as there were not many eating places. We stopped at the hotel Kanaria (Korsan bar) next to the CANAL. It wasnt a canal in those days!! It must be an age thing,, I am reminicing about the past 1988. First time we went to Icmeler.I will have to dig some photos out and get them uploaded.
