Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

i was watching tv the other night, about timeshare touts and i was wondering if anybody has come across this in icmeler or marmaris and if not do you think it will ever get there? it happened to us in lanzarote because we were stupid enough to think that we had won a prize. we were kidnapped for about three hours but they did not get a penny out of us! hope it doesn't start in icmeler.

I did not see any touts when I was there in June this year, hope it never happens there either, when we were in Ibiza a tout gave us a scratch card and surprise surprise we won, my husband ripped the card up in front of the tout and gave it back to him, that took the smile of the touts face

I've never seen Timeshare touts in Icmeler - and never heard of anyone being harrassed by them anywhere in Turkey. But then I suppose in places like Icmeler buidling regs are quite strict.

I went to Lanzarote a couple of years ago and seemed to spend the entire week either being very rude or using "back routes" to avoid the touts. Put me off going back I have to say.

Hope they don't ever get to Icmeler!

We were stopped in tenerife by the touts as well and what a surprise yes we also won,but didnt go to collect the prize as we didnt want to waste 3 hours of our holiday,especially with 4 children in tow

Turkey has tight laws on Non-Nationals owning property. As most of these timeshare schemes are run by Non-Spaniards I think we are safe in Icmeler.
