Exchange rate in England

Hi all thought you might like to know iv'e just got 2.48 TL to £ at Co op travel the rate has been up & down for a couple of weeks now so i thought i would get it while the rate is pretty good. :lol: :)

At Manchester Airport at the Ice currency exchange,they say that they will beat the Post Office and Marks and Spencers exchange rates.Tuesday 24th May their rate was 2.5006 TL to the pound.

I just got 2.51 from the Post Office so going to change up some and get travellers cheques. Have worked out the difference between the rate this year and what we spent last year, and we're going to be about £200 better off!

Good to see the rates going up in UK, but still prefer to wait until we get there to change our money - we've always found it to be better in supermarkets in Icmeler and only change the bare minimum over here before we go, maybe £40 to see us through until we can change some money when we're there
