Bar Recommendations

Postby sian24 » 16 May 2011 21:25

Hi All

I've been to Icmeler a few times over the last 8 years or so, but always find myself drinking or eating in the same bars/restaurants every time! Myself and 3 friends are going in 17 days :) (YAY!) and we have decided that we'd like to try out as much of the nightlife as possible this year!

We are staying at the Greenmar Apartments, so I know we are very central to all the bars... Would really appreciate any recommendations that you all have on your favourite bars in Icmeler for us to try something new!

Thanks for your help and happy holidays to you all :)

Hi Sian24,

After 8 years of the same bars you need to go into the old village and try some of the bars up there.
We stop at Eden garden apartments at the top end near the flag and one of our favourites is Tommys Bar. The quiz on a wednesday is a good laugh and is packed every week. I would also try Robin Hood, ozzys and a little nearer to town Romance bar.

Narky Marky :)

I'm going in 18 days myself, also wondering where the best night life is, last time I went with the family/oldies so never stayed out. What time do they stay open till?

The two nightclubs - Eastenders and Pleasure - stay open until the wee small hours, so I'm sure you'll have plenty of fun!

If he's come back this year (I really hope so) the Unicorn Restaurant does the most amazing food. It's close to the square with the fountain and tourist info :)

Hi try sevgi it's a really friendly bar and usually quite lively. You could also try Eddie's bar this is a new bar opened by Naz who previously worked at the Diva . It's a new venture for him and a really brave step, he will be missed at Diva were he has made bucket loads of friends over the years. To get to Eddies's take a right out of Diva (looking towards the shops) and it is a few yards down the side street. :D

Agree with the last post the Sevgi was a good laugh last year and really lively!!

Richards place was really busy last year, the food was really good and the entertainment afterwards was great!

Do any of the bars in Icmelar play Rock music? Or at least something not Euro disco, House or the like? There used to be two Rock bars in Marmaris Bar St, but I don't know about this season.
