Breakfast In Bed.

Being the kind of person I am I decided to give Ann a day of rest,
so it was a cup of tea then breakfast in bed.
After she came down stairs she laid on the settee with her feet up watching the TV while I waited on her hand and foot.
At the end of the day Mrs Gene said,

"I know just how a man feels now"

Gene

Something I wrote at the begining of this hot spell.

Oh what joy,
The sun is shining and is hot enough to bring out the sunbeds and try to aquire that tan.

Laying on my sunbed, Blackbirds, Thrushes and a full orchestra of birds entertain me with their melodic song.

Then my peace is shattered,
Mrs Gene decides to do the washing.
The incessant drumming of the washer has now shattered my idylic paradise.
The washer stops, then activity and bustling starts.
I am ordered three times to move my posistion, as Ann hangs the washing on the line.
Doesnt she realise a sheet casts a huge shadow which is difficult to avoid.

After an hour, tranquility has again fallen on my little bit of heaven, the birds again resume their chorus while the bees hum around the Daffodils and Tulips.

Then again that order to "MOVE" my sunbed off the lawn and onto the patio,
the reason this time is so her ladyship can cut the grass.
The mower starts up and being petrol is rather noisy, so again bedlam returns.
Hence my decision to forsake the sunbed and come onto the puter.

Why do people not consider other peoples feelings and needs?
Why is it that when the sun shines a women feels it her duty to start to wash clothes and dig and weed the garden.

To top all this Ann was half an hour late bringing my lunch, she knows I eat at 12am

In Anticipation of a better day tomorrow.

p.s.
Have hid the iron and ironing board.
Whos a little devil then.

Gene
