I agree with icmeler rocks. I feel safer walking in Icmeler and Marmaris at night than what I do in my home town. Have a great holiday :D

Feel safer in Icmeler than I do at home. Would not think about walking out in the evening in our village, but don't think twice about walking from the old village down into the centre.

I can only echo what others have said - obviously you would take the same precautions as you would when walking anywhere, especially at night, but I've never felt unsafe walking around Icmeler at any time.

Have gone out very many times at night all glammed up thinking I would be accosted by some dashing drop-dead gorgeous hunky dark Turkish Adonis and it hasn't happened yet...... I will just have to keep looking even more lol!
Seriously though, as everyone has said it is very safe to walk even in the old village in the night, I have never felt unsafe or threatened.

Having done this walk many times during the day,I would be wary about walking along here in the dark.
Not because it wouldnt be safe but some parts have very little lighting and the path is uneven in parts.
Take a torch.

Again, I am just duplicating what others have said. I feel more safe in Icmeler than I do at home, in fact we used to stay at Captain Silver Apartments which were up a side road. We used to call at Wonder Boys for a final drink but each night they encouraged my husband to "have one more" :D but I was quite happy to walk with the children on my own up the road to the aparments. I definately would not do it in my home town. Again, as stated common sense but I wouldn't worry. Have a good holiday. I keep saying to my husband wouldn't it be lovely to go to Icmeler this year but bank balance saying no no no you must pay your ever increasing household bills :(

Use your common sense, stay in well lit areas, if you have a bag keep it close to yourself and dont accept lifts from anyone you dont know.

I feel extremely safe in Icmeler, I cannot comment on Marmaris, I have let my daughters then 16& 14 walk back to the apartments while we were shopping at night, the condition was that they used the route we told them to take on main streets and no shortcuts and if they were concerned walk into the nearest restaurant and ask to wait until we walked past.

My wife says she has no issue walking alone in the resort, whether I could walk along the coastal path from Marmaris to Icmeler late at night I'm not sure in ceratin places its a bit isolated.

Hi

I can only reiterate what everyone else has said. I feel far safer in Turkey than I do at home. I would not walk anywhere in the UK on my own at night by choice but have done so in Turkey more than once and have never felt the slightest bit worried.

You just need to be aware of your surroundings just like you would at home and be sensible.
