Getting too excited now and loads of thoughts going on inside my tiny brain. Sundries, think thats the correct word. Like sun tan lotion, insect repellent, travel iron etc.
Are these best bought in UK or over there. Will start stocking up if UK is better.

personally i would say best bought in the uk as i know the sun cream is expensive in
icmeler but it depends on your weight allowance
these types of things add a lot of weight to your suitcase
hope this helps

I would certainly take sun cream with you, as it does tend to be more expensive over there, and you can'r always get your favourite brand. Insect repellent is readily available and not that expensive. Don't know about a travel iron - we never bother with one. You could always use one of the many local laundrettes instead.

One option for suncream could be to buy at the airport (UK) and take on as hand luggage - may not get deals you can on the high street but it can be a help if luggage weigh is an issue. Obviously this would only work if your airport has a Boots!

If your luggage allowance is a problem do what we did last year and buy holdalls in Argos, I think we only paid £8.99 each for them. We gained over three kilos with each holdall. It's surprising how much an empty suitcase weighs.
We always buy our shower gel etc in Tansas.

We take our suncream with us from home. Avon Skin so soft as a repellant from home. Other half puts £1 in a pot every week and we use this to buy all our toiletries in Tansas after we arrive. (saves on the weight restriction of 15kg - which is not a lot). Hairdryer, iron , beach towels, flip flops etc are left in a large holdall in our apartment from the previous year.

as with alot of the others we use avon skin so soft as repellent take a £5 asda iron buy our suncream, shower gel, cheap beach towels from asda when they go down to a couple of quid we leave everything but the iron but we pack it all in one holdall with any books we take then spread the clothes for the 3 of us into 2 holdals and when empty the other one we have room for all the stuff we buy in Icmeler.
might not work for everyone but works for us

Last year bought an iron in ASDA for less than a fiver. Gave it to the maid when we left. You would have thought she had won the lottery by her reaction.

I see in this post you mention skin so soft for mossies. I have used that, but the thing I find the best is the mosquito bands from asda......I wear it each night to the next morning then seal it back up in bag it comes in. You get 2 and I use the other one for the second week. One night I never wore it in hisoronu a few years back and got bitten alive. I needed treatment over here for 3 months afterwards

....had over 30 bites...so these devils love me ha! ha! Never had one bite while wearing them since. As a female I just cover it on my wrist with a large bracelet. You can also wear them on your ankle. May be an option for some of you.....cost about £3.

There are not many in
Icmeler as they spray regularly, you may see a truck with a funny looking machine on the back with hoses going around in the evening
