Hi. anybody got an update on whats happening down at the canal area ,
Ill be out there on the 26th May for two weeks ,and it won't be the same without our stroll around the stalls after dinner.

all we seem to know is that all the stalls have been removed and have moved to a site near the post office

I think the last updates we had just said all the stalls were gone and the area still looked as if there was a bit of clearing up to do. There seems to be a few visitors over there just now though, so hopefully some of them might post an update and pictures on their return.

Hi all came back last night and can report that the canal in my opinion is not looking at its best but they are still cleaning up , bamboo bar have put some new flower areas in so it looks ok at that end . I have to be honest and say that overall the changes to the front and the roads in the old village are as usual top class , but they do need to addresss the canal issue . Back over in 7 weeks so hopefully it will be loads better x

thanks for the up date i hope they do some thing with canel i will miss all the stalls iv been going there 11 years i hope the changes are good

is post office near wednesday market and whats happening to underground market ?

im sure they will be doing lots more cleaning up around that area as its just early on in the season

I got home last week from icmeler, there aren't really that many obvious changes (well not to me). they have re-paved and widened the beach front and replaced the lighting and were in the middle of replacing the pavers at either end of the canal. They have also filled in the canal which ran from the top part towards the bus station, it is just now pavement. The beach front looks much better and cleaner x
