Well no icmeler for me this year. OTHER HALF wants to go to kos. GUTTED. Barnies pics have kept me goin to my hols in september, ICMELER my home from home. Wont change his mind, so have decided to let him book it and if he doesnt like kos when we get there, he cant blame me We booked somewere else a couple of years ago, he kept saying we should have gone to icmeler all holiday. so sadly i think its going to be a repeat performance so everybody have a great holiday, and i will be thinking of you all in lovely icmeler. shellyb xxx

Feel so sorry for you Shelly, I would also be gutted. Knowing I can go to Icmeler for three weeks every year keeps me going throughout the year. Never mind, perhaps you can have your own way next year.

I think its time to consider a divorce shelly or a least a trial seperation were you can go off to Icmeler and your other half can go to Kos.
Thats the trouble with men they tend to throw tantrums when they cant get their own way.

Oh no, I'd be gutted too - only it wouldn't happen in our house, as I'd just refuse to go and book myself a flight to Icmeler instead! He could go to Kos on his own!

lol I'm with you Blondie no way would my other half get his own way Icmeler all the way or go he goes HIS own way, sometimes men need a little shove in the right direction.

I'm lucky my hubby loves it as much as I do, so got it made at the mo. I can't imagine going anywhere else, well not for my main holiday anyway.

Kos = Euro Zone = £££££££££££'s. Take plenty of spending money

Shellyb, we have been to Kos a good few times and we like it. We stayed just outside the town at Psalidi.The only place we hated in Kos was Kardamena it reminded us of a Benidorm type place for 18-30 clubs. Icmeler is a much nicer place though and with the euro as it it's cheeper. Be prepared to get quite a bit of hassle as you walk past the restaurants. People are friendly enough but not as much as in Icmeler and there is not as much to do on a night. Hope you enjoy your holiday,get in first next year and book Icmeler although when OH finds out what it is going to cost in Greece then you may not have to

Shelly, I went along with my other half last year when he said we should try somewhere else so we went to Altinkum...and yes I spent the holiday saying 'we should have gone to Icmeler'....and he agreed. I'm staying where the grass is green enough for me and thats in Icmeler. By the way we have been to Kos and it was OK, but expensive, as said in another post if you go to euro-zone you better have plenty money with you. Good luck whatever you decide to do

I would have told him to go on his own and booked to go to Icmeler on my own- he may have changed his mind sharpish when he remembered the hunky very friendly waiters lol! If not then you would be rest assured you would have a better time than him.

I went to Kos 3 years ago and really liked it. To be honest it isn't prettiest place i've been to but there is loads to do there and we found everyone really friendly. We stayed in Tingaki and saw a lot of the island as we hired a car. Also did some day trips (just ask me if you want some recommendations!).

I haven't been to Icmeler yet (going June), and I know I am going to love it, but i am sure you won't be too disapointed with your hubby's choice! Fingers crossed.
