Whatever happened to the little train ?

Hi just wondered if anyone can remember the train which used to take you on a ride through Icmeler and up into the old village and back it was a lovely relaxing little trip, cooling on a hot evening and the kids loved it Whatever happened to it? Also can anyone remember the truck with all the teddy bears on the top that used to drive round and round what was all that about ?

I believe that one of the lads who used to take the fares on the train lost his footing and fell which resulted in his death it was then stopped on health and safety grounds, also I understand that the Taxi company also petitioned for its removal.

I remember the little train my little sister use to love going on it i would of loved to take my two boys on this train

Ahhhhh yes the little train . I can remember the days when it was used by the breakdancers to get from gig to gig.

I've had many rides on the train with my mum husband and grandchildren they used to love it. I did it every day for 2 weeks when it was running . But with all the changes. The last time I went on it I was holding my mum because I thought she would fall out the carriage .

Was told that the train was finished because it was so old and kept breaking down and got to the stage it couldnt be repaired. It was lovely at first, and cheap, but it became quite expensive, especially if you had a family, to go back and forth daily and must admit it is lovely to be in Icmeler these days and not hear that whistle every few minutes
