if you have a package then the transfer is on a big coach
it will take around 2 hours with a comfort stop in the middle for around 20 mins
sometimes they dont stop but normally they do
and it also depends where your hotel is situated because if your last to get off the bus it will take longer to drop everyone else off
there is another option of a private transfer service
a little more expensive but well worth the money
ICR offer a great private transfer
look on their homepage for details
hope this helps

I go with the same company, it's about hour and half, doesn't really bother me I just relax and dream of Icmeler. It's a coach and they stop for about 10 minutes for a comfort break (more of a fag break really) I think I was the only person left on the coach when it stopped, the air was a mass of smoke.

Sorry as Katie said it does depend where your hotel is, we were the last drop the last 2 times we went.

ICR transfers are great, but just note that they aren't actually "private" transfers. If there are others arriving around the same time, you may have to share. Most of the time, we've been lucky and had the transfer to ourselves, but occasionally we have had to share with another couple or so. I would still choose ICR every time though. The first time we came to Icmeler was on a package trip and the transfer to and from the airport seemed to take forever - the "comfort stop" and the seemingly endless dropping-off of people all round Marmaris first. Give me ICR any time! :D

I would take a icr transfer if I hadn't already paid for it in my holiday, it would be like paying twice in my eyes. There really should be an option when you book an holiday to opt out of transfers, you can with flight meals so I don't see why you can't with transfers.

With some companies, you can opt out of their transfers, adewolves. We usually book independently or through ICR anyway these days, but the second time we visited Icmeler, that's what we did - and got an ICR transfer instead. Worth every penny to get to "paradise" quicker! :D

I suppose it also depends on what time your flights are, ours are and were last year 18.55 from Birmingham, so a ICR transfer wouldn't have made any difference we would still arrive at the apartments in the wee hours, not a lot you can do at 3-4 in the morning.

If there is an escort on the coach there will be a comfort stop, if no escort then it will be straight through. At least that's what was done by Th****ns. Gone privately in the last couple of years though, much quicker.

dont believe a word of it, as im sure many will support, until this year we have always had a TC package, but for the last 3 years we have had an ICR transfer, We used to stay in the Julian Forest and in 2008 it was a tad over FOUR HOURS from Dalaman to Icmeler - longer than the flight! The coach done its usual overpriced visit to the halfway restaurant but for 40 minutes, we then visited what seemed like every hotel in Marmaris before arriving tired and very pi****d off in Icmeler.

Never again, ICR will have you there in around 1.5 hours, no stop and more luxury!

Sorry, I'd read the post wrongly. It used to take us 2 hours plus the comfort stop. I suppose we were always lucky in not having many drop offs before us, usually only three or four. But three years ago, on leaving Icmeler we had to make quite a few pick-ups in the Old Village. The problem was that it was a new driver and a new escort and neither of them had a clue where they were going. We took ages driving round and round and so we only just arrived in Dalaman in time for the flight and that was only after the driver really put his foot down. Since then we've had a private transfer.

In all ways of - life buying clothes - white items and basicly anything I pay for I work it out on a basis of how many times I might use it or on a my time basis and private transfers definitely work out price wise possibley £15 - £20 each for a 4 HOUR transfer with t----- c--- or £90 between at least 2 people for 1.5 hour transfer - ICR wins every time

Dont use coach transfers unless you want a long journey. We did it the very first year we booked (package) and it took nearly 4 hours! Then last year in May, we booked another package so took the coach transfer and that time it took 5 hours!!! We refused to go back on the coach and booked our return with ICR. Most times we book the ICR transfers, and cannot praise them highly enough. Usually take 1 and a half hours maximum.

Can understand if people have booked a holiday package, that already includes transfers that many people don’t want to pay £100 to save 1 and ½ hours each way.
Some might prefer to spend it on efes. :D

Each to their own lostsoul. I'm blowed if I want to spend 4-5 hours on a coach after a four hour flight! Our package didnt include transfers.

private transfer or whatever they are called are well worth the extra money
always use them now and would never go back to getting on a coach
