has anyone any more details on how things are progressing with the old dreamboys/private site? also is the underground market still blocked off and empty..cheers

Underground market is no longer blocked off, but all shop fronts have been bricked up or shutters firmly down.
Dreamboys has had building work almost completed and should open again soon....they have already been competing with Irish Bar to see who has the most decibels! Incidentally, for any fans of Rocking Ken he tells me he will be operating from Dolce Vita bar this year....next to Dreamboys.

I will be staying at the Greenmar Apartments in June, and have heard that Rocking Ken works in Friends bar next door. Is this not going to be the case for this season? Can we not look forward to some 60's, 70's and 80's classics to get us in the mood for our nights out?

Speaking with Ken 2 days ago and he says Dolce Vita this season. I only hope he can compete with the volume from Dreamboys and Irish Bar? If there is any change I will keep you posted

Thanks Barnie ... In that case, would you have any idea what sort of entertainment we could expect from the Friends bar? We are a group of 4 girls and have said that it would be nice to go in there to start our evenings, and possibly to come back for a nightcap before heading upstairs to bed in the Greenmar

Hi Sian. ..no problem about asking questions. Sorry that I can't answer this one...don't know what Friends has on offer this year. But as far as finding somewhere to start and finish your evening you will be spoilt for choice. Ranging from quiet and relaxing to ear splitting fun pubs. Am sure Icmeler will deliver you and your friends a memorable holiday.

As Barnie has said your spoilt for choice, you can always try the Friends Bar and possibly the Diva or Sports bar across the road from the Greenmar.

When we stayed at the Devamli a couple of years ago we always started and ended our night in the Sports Bar!

We always end up in Friends bar as well. We liked Rockin Ken but the bar is still a great bar even without a DJ.
