Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

When we are in Icmeler in August some friends of ours will be coming to stay in Turunc..
We will obviously need to meet up with them for the obligatory Efes at some point so what is the best (and cheapest) way for us to get there and for them to come to us.. and roughly what time does the transport stop between the two at night?

We went by boat to Turunc but don't know what time this service stops. You would have to check this up but maybe another Icmeler lover can give you an answer. Hope you find out soon and enjoy your time in Turunc when you do go across.

Yes you can go by water taxi,or dolmus either one you have to check the times when you get there.

Was told four years ago by a boat man that the boats to and from Turunc stopped at around 6pm, I do not know if this is still the case. Buses are the cheapest way but dont think there will be buses on the mountain road at night- I wouldn't want to risk it!
Could be that you and your friends may have to limit meeting up at daytime. There are of course taxi's. that could prove a bit costly but you can haggle a bit for that!

Taxi,s to turunc are around 35 lire, but coming back late might be more if local one from that end.Rog.

some restaurants will take you back in their mini bus transport service if they offer it if you have eaten in their restruarant that night
have seen a few people going back to turunc that way

Think 10pm is the last dolmus from Turunc

the `spectacular road to Turunc is not for the nervous especially at night.

I agree mustaphabun, we went during the day from icmeler to turunc in a taxi, very scary, but fabulous views
