Onur?

Postby AnnieT » 26 Jan 2011 20:56

We are heading back to Icmeler on the 4th July, onur are coming up with the best times and prices from Newcastle, whats the chances of flight time changes and are they ok to fly with? We are going for 10days this time which seems to limit our options. Any comments would be greatfully received.

Some times have already changed, eg from Manchester on Mondays there were two flights one in the morning and one in the evening but due to lack of demand they have been combined into one flight in the evening.

No flights times are set in concrete yet and things can change, I think by May when the season starts times will be pretty solid but there is still a small risk.

Remember all flights can be changed by upto 12 hours as part of the T&Cs and less than 12 hours won't be classed as a major change where you have the option to cancel.

We have flown with them for 4 years and they are fine.

Onur Air are a good airline. Good safety record, so no concerns in that respect. Usually plenty of leg room or in my case belly room.Times of flights can change with any airline as they are not in command of their own destiny in that respect. Flight slots are allocated and changed by a higher authority. Eurocontrol.

annieT our crowd go twice a year with ONUR may/june,and sept/oct .at least 20 flights ,and only 1 delay really to complain about,a few time changes ,but not enough to change our plans, and as we book in june, for both the following year flights we get the best prices,so you can expect some small time schedule changes anyway.e.g. we paid £128 pp plus luggage for our flights in june from newcastle approx£140. we check in 3hrs before[only ten minutes from airport] get good seats. no meal ,no television but can live without for 4hrs.plenty of trolleys with sarnies ,drinks etc. if you coming from lakes carlise area A69 you should have a traffic free trip as its straight in from ponteland,we sometimes hit A1 traffic on our short journey, but coming from the west side its OK . I've flown with them once, or it could be twice. Not had any problems, think they ran out of duty free on the flight coming in, but apart from that there very good.

We have travelled with Onur Air a few times from Newcastle to Dalaman and have never encountered any problems with them.
