Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

Hi all, arrived back from Icmeler on Wednesday after two weeks it was fantastic, we left from Manchester on Jan 3rd and arrived in Dalaman early hours of Tuesday just after what they say was a massive storm that closed the airport in fact two flights in front of us had to be diverted to Rhodes it was that bad, over the next couple of weeks the weather was incredible between 65 - 75 degrees apart from a couple rainy days.
Lots of work going off around the place to various hotels and apartments and loads new build happening also, but the biggest surprise was the work that is happening along the front, they have started to widen the walkway this is to allow a cycle lane to be installed from the Golmar all the way along to Fantasia they have even widened the bridges, they are doing the same along the marina in Marmaris.
Not many places open apart from The Bells, Ozzies, Sony's,Florida, Friends, Lal and another couple of fast food places but enough to keep you occupied, even with so many places closed down the place is still magical it was great just to wander around the streets and take in the quiet serenity of the place.
Will try and post some photo's during the course of next week when i have adjusted to the temprature.

That sounds interesting Trevor, I presume they must be taking a bit of the beach to be able to widen, especially along by the Golmar. Look forward to seeing it in May

Along by the Golmar it is probably just the width of the new wall that they are taking away from the beach but in that area it will seem like a lot.
