Refunds

Postby carol0912 » 30 Nov 2010 07:42

Hi all, Got some great news last week. Lost flights twice earlier this year. Got an e mail from o. t.. b.... to say my money has been refunded into credit card account. Then when postie came, got a letter from CAA to say money was being refunded into my bank account. Total of £833. Magic. Having already bought flights for next year, I now have a few extra pounds to spend. Didnt wait too long for refunds and have come at a great time........................

If those two refunds were for the same flight as in you are being paid twice then be careful as they will realise their mistake sooner or later and ask for it back

Refunds not for same flights. Booked goldtrail first and they went bust then booked kiss and they went bust so due 2 refunds. Was due all the money back.

I don't really understand. So you got your money back for what you paid for anyway, so you should, if that is the case then great but why should we accept anything any different anyway.

Because sometimes they don't reimburse you fully, they might take booking fees, credit card charges and any extras such as meals, seat reservations etc off the total.

You sound a bit bitter at someones good fortune. We should get monies back as said, but theres nothing wrong with being happy for someone else. Bit jealous i would say..................................................................

Hope it is returned quickly for you,
It seems they seem to have their act together a little more from when I waited just on 18 months for my refund from the XL collapse.

Booked mine through TR, got a letter from the CAA today saying my money would be in my account in 14 days :D only thing they didn't refund was the airline surcharge and credit card booking fee, so lost £56. Happy with that.

Jealous? Did you actually read my post, I actually stated that you should get your money back as it's what you paid, I hate people being ripped off by big companys. I did say great that they had a refund. Learn to read the post properly before you jump down my throat.
