Icmeler Online Holiday Forum & Reviews - Turkey

Hi All,
Just needing some re-assurance for next year. Unfortunataley we have not been to Icmeler this year as we are off on a cruise at Xmas but hope to be back in Icmeler next year. Was just wondering is the weather still ok and are most places still open the 1st 2 weeks in Oct. Any help would be appreciated....

hiya i was there this year at the end of sept (29th i come home) and most places were still open. i have kept in touch with a few turkish friends and they are all still working for another week or so...so i asume theres still places open. Weather wise it was abit windy towards the end of my hol and there was expected rain, but it was still hot im sure you will have a lovely time no matter what the weather is like. hope this helps x

the weather has been weird in icmeler this year and i think in most parts of turkey
it has been raining in icmeler for the past 4 days so its not been too nice

hi katie we just came back we went on the 2nd october first week really hot 2nd week we had 3 days of rain but still warm had a great time.have a lovely cruise

Was out there from 2nd - 11th Oct. Very hot when we arrived (37) and went down to 30 by the time we left. Evenings got a little chilly but, other than that, a perfect time to go. Barbara

Hi we went from the 11th Oct and the evening we arrived was super. Then solid rain day and night for 9 days, then Thursday afternoon of the following week the sun paid us a visit. Then we left Monday 25th lunch time the clouds were on their way again. Everyone said that this was not normally the weather in Oct. But i will stick to Sept in the future. xx

Thanx for all yor replies.....I think we may just go for Sept Next year but as many have said the weather has been a bit strange this year.... But in saying that any time in Icmeler is a good time

We have been going for the first two weeks in October for the last six years, and usually the weather is brilliant, with an occassional thunderstorm which clears quickly - this year is the coldest and rainiest time we have had in October, so hopefully its a one off.

9th-22nd October was also bad. Never known weather like it in the years that we have been going to Icmeler. 11 out of 14 days rain. At one point walking from Marmaris towards Icmeler, the wind was blowing, the rain was teaming down and it was quite chilly. It was just like being of the sea front at Blackpool. What made us laugh was the fishermen still fishing on the beaches. Still, we had a wonderful holiday, and it certainly hasn't put us off going again in October.
