flight delay

has anybody flown from gatwick on flight no xla 5038,(should leave about 08.40) in the past few weeks,and was you delayed,we was delayed by 5 hours in may & on friday 7th july the same flight was delayed by about 12 hours,just wondered what they are playing at,thanks

Is not by any chance Air Atlanta is it?Because last year we were delayed 5 hours going and24 hours coming back.Since then we found out they had major delays every single week.

no its excel airways,we were just wondering if the flight actualy is there at all,or are they just getting us there and then putting us all together on a later flight,thanks

Haven't flown with them myself Denis, but several weeks back I was watching that holiday show on a Friday night (can't remember the name) Anyway they said they had more complaints about the delays with Excel this year than any other company. We flew with Onur and have to say they were on time both ways and were very good.

thanks molly,looks like they are all in this together,we spoke today with the flight complaints dept (number given to us by ABTA ) all they say is if there is a delay theres a good reason for it,thats it then looks like we will have to put up with it,we will see this friday,same flight ,you watch we will be on time hopefuly,thanks again.

I hope your flight is on time Denis, as it's long enough to get there without delays. The good thing is when you get there it's all worth it, I wouldn't mind going back now and I've only been home 10 days. Have a great holiday
