Postby icmelersun » 18 Sep 2010 17:13

I haven't been to icmeler in october for a while and i can't really remember what kind of clothes i was wearing. Anyhow can anyone suggest what type of clothing/outifts should or could be worn for october (first 3 weeks). Female btw

my wife and i are there last week in sept 1st week oct we have been 1st week oct before and my wife can still wear a dress but normally wears a shawl or a cardi to ward off the evening chill, Some one else asked a similar question and i think they mentioned that some bars etc have a log fire going,

I wear the same as what I wear in the height of summer, even bare legs, strappy heeled sandals etc but usually need a pashmina round my shoulders as its only my arms and shoulders that seems to feel a bit chilly. Funnily enough it turned quite chilly in the second week of my holiday at the end of June and I needed to buy another pashmina as I have never needed one in June- when I got there was boiling at night but then turned cooler evenings in my last week there.

I'm actually taking a proper jacket this time, I'm a freezer at the best of times and as our return flight will land us back in Cardiff in the early morning (11th Oct) I'm sure I'd appreciate it then.

We usually holiday in May and Sept/Oct and find that once it gets to around 9ish pm we start to feel cold, I have always just had pashminas (hubby cardigan) but they have not been enough for us, but perhaps our hotel which we do like to return to for the final drink (after 12ish) is a bit cooler (it has a rocky backdrop and the bar is by the pool), it's just the bother of carrying the jacket because I know that when we arrive at Dalaman I'll find it warm, but it's not nice shivering in the evening and ******* what it looks like, I want to be warm and comfy.

So it's a case of never mind what anyone thinks, I'll be taking and wearing a padded jacket in the evenings, I'm fed up with shivering and don't care what the people think who can be comfortable in sleeveless tops.

Was there last October and we're going again next Saturday. Needed a cardi after dark. The Chef restaurant next to Devamli had a lovely log fire going inside a massive glass firepit. Hope they still have it this year - just looking out of the window at the miserable weather and can't wait to be there.

Deffo depends on if your a hot person or a cold person, I am usually hot and been having hot sweats all year due to illness and medication so god help me in 2 weeks, if you see a short, fat, spikey haired person wobbling round, and sweating profusly that will be mee
