Holiday Change

Just back from another fantastic holiday in Icmeler where we had a brilliant stay at Mirage world and would recommend it to anyone.

My son has booked a holiday in Marmaris next July but the hotel they are staying at looks like one of the worst in Marmaris according to just about every review we can find. We suggested to him that they should try and get hotel changed to one in Icmeler but his travel agent have said it would cost an arm and a leg to change. Does anyone know if this is possible. Surely the travel agency have a duty to give a holiday of some sort of standard?? Any advice would be appreciated.

a friend of mine went to turkey cant remeber where but they found the hotel was discusting, so he found another place about 10 mins walk from original. it cost them an extra £50 for appartments for a week. What i am suggesting is see if ICR can get a cheap appartment for the duration of his stay and use his package deal just for flights and tranfers. dont for get he will need to check for th original hotel towards the end of his holiday to find out about transfer back to airport and of course be at hotel in plenty of time for pickup. It wouldnt have thought changing his accomodation would be that much, i know its not the same but i changed my hol from 1 week to to and it ost be thecost of the extra week (which was £22 each) and £35 admin charge, so if th hotel he changes to is of a similar cost to the original and on the same flights it should only be the admin charge. The moral of the story is do a check for reviews on the accomodation before you book

Haydn beat me to it, exactly what I was going to suggest.

There are decent places in Marmaris is he still wants to go there because don't forget we do sell accommodations for all over Turkey besides all over the world

Thanks Haydn and JT. They were actually hoping to upgrade to All Inclusive so I thought the Travel Agency would be only too happy to take more money from them including an admin fee. We will take on board your suggestion if we are unsuccessful with an upgrade though.
