Hi, came back after three weeks on the 20th August, and we had the same thing. We did confirm the return flights. Its quite painless, and they are all english speaking. Apparently if you do this you are then covered if you encounter any delays or cancellations etc. Its worth doing. The owner of our apartments did it for us.

Hope this helps.

I know some people don't bother but I ALWAYS do. I always get through straight away and there is always an English speaking person. If anything goes wrong, change of flight etc and you happen to miss it then you will not have a leg to stand on and will have to make your own way back to the UK. Once when I flew home there was obviously not a full plane and we got taken to Bodrum instead of Dalaman, as a result we got an extra few hours in Icmeler but if I hadn't rung we would not have known. Make a note to do this as is so easy to forget when you are on holiday and having fun. Once I do this I heave a big sigh of relief knowing I have got it out of the way and its great if theres no changes etc.

I booked a package holiday and this was printed on my e-tickets. First question to the rep on arrival was "do I have to confirm my flights on departure" the answer was was "no because you've booked a package deal".

If you book it all separate, yes you have to confirm. If you've book a package deal you do not have to confirm the flights.

I would make sure you do check your return flight.

I've just come back from Icmeler and last Tuesday was having a meal with a Turkish friend who works in a hotel in Marmaris who said that some of their guests had been taken to Dalaman to get their flight home that morning, only to be told their flight was cancelled. They were taken back to Marmaris and it was likely to be a day or two before they knew when they would be flying home....

I know sometimes things happen at the last minute and there's nothing anyone can do, but if you're flight only - make a point of checking your flight!

We came back yesterday and 48hrs before we flew home we had to confirm flight times to the office in Marmaris.
I also was worried about this but it was no problem, the receptionist at hotel rang and i spoke to the english lady at the other end, she even took my mobile number and I presume it was to contact me if there were any changes after I had confirmed.

We too have to ring and confirm our flights home .. best to do this i dont fancy being left behind if flight time changes .. then again if icmeler is as good as everyone says it is i might think twice about flight being delayed home .... Hope everyone who is going away in next few days has a lovely holiday.
