im heading to marmaris 3 weeks tomorrow for 14 days and can not wait................ well to get to icmeler anyway, we are staying in marmaris as my mother in law got the hotel club diana for free ( she knows the manager )
anyway i will most likely spend all day every day in icmeler as i love it there . we are always in majestic and will certainly not be breaking that habit this year regardless of location of our accomodation.............

i have been checking the icr webcam every day and it looks extremely quiet on the streets this year is this right? or is it just around the icr webcam that its quiet?

Think the webcam can be quite deceiving to be honest. When we were there in June, it certainly wasn't as quiet as it had appeared from the camera. According to other reports too, it's been fairly busy this year, with quite a few hotels, etc, fully booked, so there must be plenty of people around somewhere!

icmeler is quieter than it was in august but its still busy
there was lots of kids but there is more older couples going around now as most of the younger children have gone back to school
the webcam never seems to show it busy because its on a corner so not many people stand there they just walk past quickly

Icmeler really is weird at the moment.

We have the goldtrail collapse which has forced the Sarba and Idas hotels to close down.

Munamar was already closed for the 2010 season anyway so Icmeler is missing all those people.

Every hotel in Icmeler is full this weekend but people are not coming out onto the streets till 9ish so it looks like a ghost town until then.

As Katie says though, most kids gone back and the people arriving are the "older" couples who don't have to count their pennies as much so September is an important time for Icmeler bars

Its weird there cos one day its rammed with people and every bar is packed then the next day its almost like a ghost town.

yeah monday and thursday seem to be the big change over days this year for UK flights at dalaman so on a monday and thursday night the resort seems to be very quiet sometimes
but all the other nights its busy

we have just arrived back after 10 nights and would say that the bars and restaurants were a lot busier than when we were there at beginning of july.
The last 3 nights in particular it was noticeable at the places we eat ,Wayside,Vience and the Tandoori Sizzler were full and the bars later Friends 60's,Sevgi and both the Magic Garden and Kactus it was hard to get a table,so there are plenty people there at the moment and a lot of activity

thats just due to flight change over days

thats really good that things are still busy cause a lot of the owners were complaining that it hasnt been a good season
hopefully september will make it better

Looked busy on the cam the other night

Very very quiet tonight but its Thursday so Barbecue night in a lot of apartments in the village and a change over day.

It will get busy about 10.30

Got back yesterday after spending 3 weeks there.In the day it was quiet,probably because it was too hot to walk around,even for me,evenings were busy around the canal,Venice and Majestic were full each night,we had to book for them,most restaurants we ate in were very busy,Vinces,Lighthouse and Okimos.
