I just got back this morning from icmeler, we took over traditional scottish sweets like tablet and macaroon etc to give out for Bayram, after learning the traditional Turkish Bayram greetings we were invited to many places, my oldest some who is 7 was given loads of sweets everywhere we went and we had a great time.
I would definately go back over Bayram again!

Nice one, Ive got a lot of good turkish mates and they help me out, its my intention to be speaking fluent turkish within 5 years, i know its not needed as most Turks speak good english but I see it as being respectful to the turkish people.

go go go cim Bom Bom!!!

yeah well its a hard language to learn i have found that out with a turkish boyfriend
i also have a lot of good turkish friends as i have been to turkey about 20 times now and my boyfriend and my friends keep saying aw your so lazy that you dont know any turkish yet
but its really hard to learn and when your in the UK there is hardly any opportunities for you to learn it so you forget everything you learned when you were over in turkey
aw well one day i will learn it hopefully :)

See i guess im lucky , being a musician i have a natural ear for sounds and also being scottish the turkish accent is easy knowing how to roll the Rs and that oo sound in words.
ive found it all easy and always seem to remember languages that ive learned, for instance ive not spoken to anyone from China in a good few years but could still ask how they are, wheres the pub etc hahahha.
Good luck though because my wife assures me that generally its very difficult to leanr, she lets me do the talking though.

thanks i will need all the luck i can get :)
i just read your review and thats not too good about pleasure and about the drugs being sold in the market
so many children go to the market that is no place for something like that to go on
and i have been to pleasure many times without a problem guess you were just really unlucky with that guy
apart from that it sounds like you had a good holiday :)

Thanks katie, we had an ace time, the drugs thing is everywhere and if i were younger and back in uni id be asking how much I could buy from him in one go hahahaha.
The guy at pleasure was just a top tool, im sure he must have had a bust up with his girlfriend and was just venting on an easy target and us scotish sheep sh******s make opurselfs big targets lol.
I just cant wait to get bqack, was even offered a few jobs but the money wasnt anywhere near good enough but i might open a bar or apartement, definately not up fpr a restaurant though as its too much hard work, at least with a bar I can spend mosty of the day playing guitar or piano etc.
