hi everyone i was wondering if anyone is in resort at the moment and can tell me what the exchange rate is as the rate here is still quiet poor , last year we changed most of our money before we left trying to spread the cost over several weeks whereas all other years we took sterling and changed in resort getting the best deal at a small shop near to the babadan apartments .

I only change a little bit here in the UK, enough to get me by if I arrive in Icmeler at silly o'clock. I have found that the exchange rate at many of the little shops (under ICR office or opposite Prestij apts etc) always give a better rate than any you will get here in the UK. I usually change enough for a couple of days at a time and it does vary from day to day in the resort so if one day the rate has gone up a bit I will change more. I usually spend with £ sterling at the markets etc which they are more than happy to accept.

2.31in the supermarket under ICR on Friday. Going back down there in a couple of hours but I don't think it's improved.

Take the rate that is on http://news.bbc.co.uk/news/business/mar ... efault.stm at about 15:00 (17:00 Turkey) in the day then deduct .04 from that to work out the approximate rate at the supermarkets, it worked for me a couple of weeks ago.

The rate on Friday was 2.35 so minus .04 gives 2,31 which was reported on this post. The rate currently is 2.3618 and raising slightly, if it stays the same the rate tomorrow will be 2.32

Yes it was I was on my phone at the time and it just puts in what it thinks It's a nice thought though.

any updates on this, we are leaving on friday

I would say its about 2. 28 now its gone down in the last few days.

Bank rate this afternoon was 2.31 so I think you will get 2.27 at the supermarkets.
