just a hairdresser please.

Postby skilly » 15 Aug 2010 20:31

This year I am going to have my hair washed and blown a few times during my holiday as i am fed up with doing it myself when I'm there.
We have been going for many years and I've never had my hair done whilst there.
The main reason is, if you go near a hairdressers they always pester you to have a manicure / pedicure even if you don't want one, does anyone know a hairdresser who is good and will not pester you to death to have anything else done. If I want a manicure I will go for a manicure, not be press ganged into having one.
Also, roughly how much is a wash & blow dry?
Any help would be appreciated. :)

I always go to a hairdresser near where I am staying so have been to many. If you just tell them you do not want manicre etc they usually leave it at that. I have found the first time I use a hairdresser I get a really good deal, wash and blow dry for a fiver-haggle a bit though! then after that it is roughly £7 or £8 and I have long hair, do not pay any more than this unless you want a trim. BTW, the guys there do hair better than I have ever had it done here in the UK. Absolutely poker straight without straightners. I do not even bother to wash it myself there, I always get it done in the hairdressers.
Dont do what my friend did though, she got her words wrong when we popped in the haidressers with 3 or 4 guys working and she asked how much a shampoo and *low job was! (she meant blow dry!) You should have seen their faces light up!
