Hi Kerry & Sue,
Im sure my reply will be out of date now, In May it was closed but did re open as such. The seating area was still there but thats all, a menu was there with a a booking form - no staff during the day - did see a few people eating and food seemed to be coming from the back of nearby apartments - didnt appeal to us much which was a shame as we had 2 very good meals at the Taj mahal last year.

Pete.

The Taj Mahal is no longer in Icmeler it did not reopen this year and it's site was taking over by a Curry House but the Taj Mahal in Marmaris is still open.
The Tandoori Sizzler is where the Chilly Bar used to be, below the ICR Office and about 50 yards from where the Taj Mahal used to be as you walk from the main square towards the beach.

Sorry pete,
I must of picked up the wrong tale when I was there in May as I was told that the place that had opened up was beeing run out of the kitchens next door to it by different people..

John V and Pete are both correct.

When John was here it was not open and still wasnt when he went home.

Pete came later and they threw a few signs up here and there and opened it.

The food isnt cooked in Marmaris then brought in and re heated, it is made in a factory in Mugla and is bought frozen as we buy frozen meals in the UK and then heated by micro wave and sold on as fresh as do a lot of restaurants in Icmeler and Marmaris.

I actually saw a very famous cake and coffee place in icmeler selling the same stuff the other day.

I don't have to name places but check out the Indian food sign on the wall in a cake shop.

Jeez it amazes me that they actually think that they can pass it off as fresh as its just like us walking into the local Wetherspoons or local in the UK and getting a Turkish meal and them saying its authentic and freshly cooked
