Karaoke

Postby haggis » 06 Jul 2006 08:12

I heard that there might be a 3-4 day European Karaoke Festival coming to Icmeler at the end of September when I was in the Karaoke bar (next door to Harmony Bar) last week.

I'm just back and this is just the ideal excuse to book that extra week and look forward to another fabulous time in Icmeler.

I don't know about anybody else, but I enjoyed murdering 'My Way' by the Sex pistols one night. I vaguely remember the place was jumping with a few pogo-ing around the dancefloor .. and Max the head waiter jumping about the stage playing a guitar with no strings - Sid Vicious stylee!!

There were really some excellent singers when I was there - Claire from Wrexham was one I remember.

The Karaoke Festival is coming together nicely with two sponsors confirmed - Blue Rainbow Hotel & Sun Village - with just one more to go.

It will be on for 3 days and there will be 3 classes - Best Male, Best Female and Best Duet.

The fabulous prize for each class is two weeks twin room accommodation in 2007 for the winners.

Get practising, and get 5 free songs to get you started - singalong to your favourites on the online karaoke player at http://www.internetkaraoke.net

.... more later

Well i love karaoke and have won a few comps here in Damp wet Manchester.
Unfortunately i'm not there on those dates on my searching "Deniz Kapisi "gets mentioned for karaoke is it still the place for Karaoke?
Do they allow you to use your own discs?.. (yes i am that sad!)

If i get chance i love singing (amongst many others but these are my faves)

sweet soul music. Arthur Connley
Love train. O'Jays
Try a little tenderness. The commitments
Hard to handle. Otis Redding
Midnight hour. Otis Redding

so if you hear those between 11th- 18th and its a fat dark haired bloke good chance it's me!!

Hi Enquirer

All these songs are on the online karaoke player except the Commitments. You can get 5 freebies by clicking on 'Get Credits' and entering NEW in the promotion code box.

Midnight Hour was by Wilson Pickett in case you can't find it under Otis Redding.

I stand corrected it was by wilson picket

I actually own all the Sunfly hits and all the Sunfly most wanted some sunfly gold and most of the Legends series ,most of the Zoom platinum discs in fact i have more discs than my local karaoke host! (Sad arent i ?! )

I make compilation back ups of my discs so i can take just one or two discs with me.

That site is cool. easy interface ,large selection thanks for pointing it out!
never seen the site before and as you may guess i trawl around a lot of karaoke sites.

Thanks once again, Can't wait for my holiday now doing something i really enjoy (singing amongst other things  ) in a wonderful place !

Robert
