Chickens

Postby Colette » 04 Aug 2010 20:21

Erm I was thinking, ( yes yes no funny jokes ) chicken is on every menu and probably the most popular food in Icmeler, so if you combine all the tourist areas in Turkey, they must go through millions of chickens every season, but where do they all come from ?

Someone in Turkey must have a bloomen huge chicken farm ?

Wonder if it's a good business to be in ?

New venture for ICR

Icmeler Chicken Reservations

That's funny,I am just watching The Secret Tourist about Club Armar in Marmaris(all inclusive) which is being investigated for its poor food and hygiene,The locals have nicknamed it Chicken Club and laugh at the tourists (who have AI wristbands from the hotel) because it has chicken on the menu all day long! The pool was disgusting too!

See thats what got me thinking, I am all inclusive this year in Icmeler, and every review I read, it says every day it is chicken to eat. But you never see chicken farms anywhere ?

Am vegetarian and don't like to think about all the poor billions of animals every year that are slaughtered in the meat industry. One consolation is that at least the chickens there while they are alive will probably be treated more humanely than most here and not stuck in cages that they can barely move in.
My family however do eat chicken when they are there there and say it is very very nice but plentiful!
