3000?? turkey is not in the EU, hence the restriction on duty free cigarettes. you are indeed allowed to buy cigarettes in the UK. returning to the UK, your allowance is only 200. lucky you for never being caught!

oh my god, i was lucky! that will teach me for listening to my ex husband! he constantly said i was wrong about the rules. what he said was even if he did have too many by opening each pack and removing 2 it could be proved they were for his own purposes and not to sell. thankfully wont have to listen to any of that any more. thanks for cofirming what i thought
