2010 restaurant recommendations

Me and my girlfriend visited Icmeler in June 2009 and are returning for our second visit in about 5 weeks time with my parents. We had wonderful meals last year at Ozzys, Selam, Wayside, Cupids, Lighthouse, Florida and Chef, with Selam and Wayside probably the best.

We're going to return to some of these places, but I am looking for recommendations for others. Are there any new places that have opened this year that are not to be missed, or any fantastic places that we may have missed last year?

We tend to like restaurants without entertainment where the emphasis is on great food and service.

Any suggestions?

Hi Steve,
Whatever you do or wherever you go - have a night at the LAL.
Its real Turkish cuisine but not over the top with prices.
you will get a pleasant invite in - no hassle - get told what all dishes consist of, even an invite into the kitchen if you wish.
comfortable spacious seating with live music you may or may not like - but its quiet(the music that is)
Its in the old village up from the jewellery shop on the main road left-hand side.
Makes a great change for a different night out.

We love to go and chill out at Nazar Cafe, we had some lovely evenings there a few weeks ago. The food was really good too.

Definitely try the Lal - sounds as if it's exactly the kind of place you would love. Fantastic food, authentic Ottoman setting, live Turkish musician - we loved it.

Hi geordiemafia

Could you possibly give me directions to Lal - from ATM's would be good please. Is it far to walk, only one of our party has a dodgy knee?
Thanks

To get to the Lal, walk up to the road where the Tansas, 3Bells, etc are. You will see the Azra jewellers, and you want to head up the road beside it - you'll pass the Romance Palace on the right hand side, and the Lal is just a bit further up on the left. It's not that far and a fairly easy walk - and will be well worth the visit, believe me.

You must try the Love Star in the old village, you really won't be disappointed. They have a really extensive menu and really good prices. It's just up from Ozzys by the traffic lights. Agree that Lal is excellent too.

If you want fantastic food and service and no entertainment, just lovely hospitality you should try Broadway.

Its a new restuarant this year located on the corner of the canal opposite the love boat. Its run by Hussain who used to work at Romance.

I can honestly say the food is fantastic. My fiance is Turkish and he was so impressed he went to thank the chef after our first meal there and then continiously told friends and other restuarants how fantastic it was. Hence the fact he practically bullied us all to go there nearly every other night for the whole two weeks.

All I can say is that I am glad they dont charge you if you are over weight at Dalaman like they do you case!!!

Hi 3bellsmufc
Take a look at this link.http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8& ... 8e86a260a2 It is a straight road from Deja vu towards Cafe rose, passing Wembley bar and Love star.
When you get to the dry canal, cross to the other side, turn left then first right, look for signs tied to fences, then you will find Cafe Rose
