I hope your wife recovers quickly. I would advise informing your insurance company just in case of complications while you are away.
I am sure you will have a great time and I look forward to your review when you return.

I really really would tell the insurance company. Who knows how it will be when they take the plaster off, and generally injuries to the A-tendon take far longer to heal. If you leave it and they take the plaster off early and she isn't fit to travel the insurance company may say you never informed them that their could be an issue. Better to be safe than sorry, and hope that she makes a good recovery and you won't need to worry.

davidn - same thing happened to our son, six weeks before holiday, although plaster was only on for 2-3 weeks and then he used a boot with a tension guage which needed to be tightened every week. Doc said he could stop using the boot when we were due to go on holiday and don't think he would've said that if there was any chance it could damage the recovery. Anyway, we went on holiday and he had no problems, we had a great time. Did tell the insurers though but no extra premium to pay.
